The Franchise has its nickname called "Leos." Also, the name of their team has a meaning behind it. It resembles two mountain peaks that overlook the Franchise's home city of Vancouver. The helmet design of the team has a black background, along with the orange head of a mountain lion. Leo, the Lion, is presently the mascot of the team.

They also have a fight song for their team called "Roar, You Lions." They previously played their home games in arenas such as Empire Stadium from 1954 till 1982, Empire Field from 2010 till 2011, and BC Place from 1983 to 2009 and 2011 till present. The famous rivals of the team include Montreal Alouettes as well as Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Rick Campbell is the head coach of the team, and Ed Hervey is the General Manager of the team. The team goes by the colors of white, orange, and black.
